Fueled out of the depths of Concord, NH, Purging Sin unleashes a fury of metal that is reminiscent of the good ol’ days where technique was appreciated and lyrics meant something. Founded in 2011 by guitarist and vocalist Anthony Nicastro, Purging Sin sought to blend metal, both old school and new. 

Anthony joined forces with guitarist Matthew Harris in 2015 (RIP 2020), bassist Brian Barksdale in 2018, and drummer M Sandstrom in 2026, inspired heavily by metal legends such as Metallica, Black Sabbath, and Iron Maiden, to create a metal band that highlights the energy and complexity found during the golden age of metal in the 80s and 90s. 

Loud, complex guitar solos, thunderous bass and drums, and aggressive vocals drive the sound of Purging Sin that kicks you in the teeth and leaves you wanting more. Heavy. Relentless. Unforgiving.
